The Artifacts CD is here! (Finally!)

Contact me if you'd like to purchase a CD.  They're also available at the Mail Depot & Rex Hardware in downtown Petaluma & online @ Itunes & CDBaby.  But really, I'd rather hand one to you at one of our gigs.

                               2010 Calendar

Band Night @ The Burdell!!! - January 16th 2010

The Artifacts will be playing a benefit for a great local organization, Mentor Me Petaluma, at the historic Burdell Building in Petaluma on January 16th from 8pmish to 12amish or later.

Our pal and Mentor Me Dynamo DJ Val, the betcha-can't-not-dance-gal, will be spinning tunes from her legendary & world-renowned CD collection when the Artifacts take a break & from 'round 11 to 'round midnight.  Joe McDonald, the outstanding photographer, will be hosting an open studio next door.  There'll be food & beverages provided by a bunch of great local restaurants.  There will be a fire pit.  There will be hordes of very interesting people.

We did this last year, and let me tell ya, it was one helluva partay.  I believe that it is a quintessential only-in-NorCal event that the words bacchanalia & saturnalia were created to describe.  You should consider attending just because I used quintessential, bacchanalia & saturnalia in one sentence...

The Burdell Creamery Building was established ca. 1895 as a creamery, cold storage, and electrical power plant by the pioneer Burdell family.   The original Burdell family estate in Novato is now the Olompali State Park.  The Burdell Creamery Building is being restored by our good friend David Martin and is, literally & figuratively, a very cool old brick space.  It'll be a lot of fun and is worth the price of admission just to check out the interior of this historic old building.

It'll probably sell out so if you're interested you should purchase tickets in advance.  Tickets are $25 and are available by calling 707-778-4798 or by visiting the Mentor Me Petaluma website at :  www.mentormepetaluma.org

Pre-Valentine's Day Massacre Partay @ Papa's - Feb 12th 2010

The Artifacts, NorCal's most famous unknown music ensemble, will be having another in a series of CD Release Partays celebrating the release of their new CD "dig it" Friday night, Feb 12 from 7-10pm at the inter-stellarly renowned Papa's Taverna.  If you've never been to Papa's, then you've never been to the western hemisphere's only inter-galactic truckstop - that's all.

Papa's is located a mere 5 miles out of town, in the bayou "just outside of the city limits", on the scenic and eucalyptus lined Lakeville Highway.  Since it's not in the city, but in the county, and in the bayou, you never know just what you might encounter, but Friday night, Feb 12 from 7-10pm you'll encounter The Artifacts playing their eclectic mix of swing, blues, and skiffle jazz heavy on the harmonies.

DO NOT MISS IT!
