I'll be playing solo acoustic blues & swing & jazz guitar & mandolin way out west in West Marin at our beloved Station House Cafe on New Year's Eve. Saturday, 12/31/11, from 6:30 - 9:30pm. If you're in the area please consider joining me for a great meal, a pint, and some mellow, low-key acoustic guitar & mandolin music. The Station House's Sheryl Cahill, NorCal's Hostess-with-the-Mostess, and her staff always provide a world-class dining experience. I'll be playing some classic bottleneck blues & gospel, some obscure swing & jazz tunes & some tuneful oddities that I've been playing in the kitchen for years. We can ring in the New Year without all the ringing, so to speak.
Sweethearts of the Radio! Feb 11, 2012. 7-10pm
Karen & I will be performing a set to open the "Sweethearts of the Radio" benefit concert for the local gem of a radio station KWMR way out west at the Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station next Saturday, 2/11/12 at 7pm. We'll be doing a few old folk tunes and a few other musical gems to start the show.
It's a very cool lineup of artists. Misner & Smith, Eric & Suzie Thompson, and Laurie Lewis & Tom Rozum.
